Problem

Many productivity tools create more planning activity without helping the user decide what to do next. The product question was how to connect goals, daily priorities, focus and reflection in one usable workflow while keeping the experience simple enough to use consistently.

03

My role

I conceived and delivered the product end to end. I defined the problem, shaped the user journeys, wrote stories and acceptance criteria, prioritised the backlog, built and tested each working increment, and refined the experience through practical use and feedback.

04

Delivery approach

  1. 01Defined the core user problem and the outcome the product should make easier
  2. 02Mapped the journey from longer-term goals to daily priorities and focused action
  3. 03Broke the product into user stories and acceptance criteria rather than building every idea at once
  4. 04Prioritised the backlog around the core daily workflow
  5. 05Tested working increments, removed friction and used each review to decide the next iteration
05

What I produced

  • Secure user login and personalised access
  • Daily planning and quick-capture workflows
  • Focus sessions and distraction capture
  • Goals, milestones and progress review
  • Shared-planning and reflection workflows
  • A prioritised backlog supported by user stories, acceptance criteria and iterative feedback
06

Evidence & business value

The product brings planning, focused execution and review into one connected workflow. More importantly for my portfolio, it demonstrates that I can take an everyday problem from discovery through prioritisation, implementation, validation and continued product improvement.

  • The application is live and can be reviewed directly
  • The working product includes the core planning, focus, goal and review journeys
  • The product itself provides reviewable evidence of the connected user journeys and working features

What I learned

A useful product needs fewer, clearer decisions. The strongest iterations came from removing friction in the core workflow and clarifying acceptance conditions—not adding features simply to make the product appear larger.
